Claudia Taranto is a producer on ABC RN’s Earshot and The History Listen.  Her radio documentaries have won awards locally and internationally and she has mentored many Australian audio producers and writers.


Judging Panel

Our judging panel consists of a range of podcast industry, producers and talent, as well as a spread of experts from the media and other related fields.

Since 1998,  Chris Ashmore  has produced dozens of business audio programs for some Australia's leading brands. Chris is Head of Podcast Partnerships at  BE Media Production  where he advises brands and business on audio strategy.

Linda Martin  is a Kiwi who has been travelling around the world with her husband Craig since February 2006. In late 2006 they started the Lonely Planet award-winning  Indie Travel Podcast  to share tips and stories about independent travel; they also run a website development and hosting business, Performance Foundry.

Jane Kenny  is a community engagement and partnerships specialist. A former teacher, she has served as a judge at the  CBAA Awards  since 2015, and has experience in the fields of philanthropy, industrial relations and the law.

Conrad Browne  is the Manager of the Audio Division at  Vision Australia , and has been involved in community media since 1999, working at JOY 94.9 from 2006 and now at Vision Australia. The VA Audio Division produces and delivers vital audio services for blind, low vision and print disabled communities nationwide.

Dave Lee  has been intimately involved in the podcasting industry since 2007. He and his father Steve are founders of  International Podcast Day  (celebrated every September 30) and co-hosts of  The Waves of Tech  (4x People’s Choice Podcast Awards Finalist).

He has contributed documentaries and fictional stories to public radio programs including RadioLab and This American Life. His work has won many awards, including the Peabody, Third Coast Festival, and the Gold Mark Time Award for Best Science Fiction Audio.

Monica Attard  is a five-time Walkley Award winning journalist and a former broadcaster at the ABC where she hosted Media Watch, PM and Sunday Profile. She currently works as Professor and Head of Journalism at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at UTS.

Pete recently hosted a podcast with 5-time Davis Cup winning coach Dennis Ralston, who hoisted the Cup for the Americans from 1968-1972.

She previously worked in a Marketing and Event Management role at the Australian Podcast Awards, and currently is the Strategic Product Marketing Manager at  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts .

Tracy Sheen  is a three-time judge at the Australian Podcast Awards, as well as speaker, consultant and regular contributor to  Smallville , an Australian online business publication. Working in the podcasting space for the past ten years, Tracy has assisted many Australian businesses to embrace podcasting as a profile and community building piece.
